Designed for adults between 60 and 95 who want to age at home on their own terms, The Hub connects members with health services, entertainment, and daily support through a virtual village guided by AI avatars — no tech skills required. Caregivers can monitor their loved ones' physical, mental, and cognitive health in real time, and health organizations can manage entire patient populations within a HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.

The Challenge
The Hub Central arrived with an idea their own leaders described as "a little crazy": integrating conversational AI, 3D avatars, real-time health monitoring, and a native mobile app into a single ecosystem — accessible to adults between 60 and 95, with zero tech skills required.
The challenge wasn't just complexity. It was not knowing if it could be built at all, or whether the AI costs would ever make the business model viable.
Before committing any development budget, SoftEdge proposed going straight to the facts — acting as a product partner, not just a dev team. They built a proof of concept in stages: first animated 2D avatars, then 3D with conversational AI, and finally validated the concept with real end users. The POC wasn't a throwaway prototype — it was the moment that transformed an ambitious idea into a project with real foundations.

A caregiver dashboard with real-time monitoring of over 39 types of health data — vital signs, medications, cognitive assessments, and emotional wellbeing — with automatic alerts for changes in health status.
A native mobile app for iOS and Android that syncs 14 health metrics from 6 sources (Apple Health, Google Health Connect, Fitbit, Garmin, Omron, and Withings) in the background, without any user intervention.
A complete administration backoffice that allows managing users, content, and configurations per organization without requiring technical support.
